TINY HOUSES FOR

 HOSPITALITY

Toward a constructive hospitality

To build tiny-houses in backyards in order to host people in need, that's what IMBY is about.
In My BackYard, in your backyard.

THE PROJECT

WELCOME

A home and a social follow-up,
springboard to a successful insertion
for homeless people.

SOCIAL

Hosts ans guests share good moments,
while enjoying the intimacy provided
by two separate homes

ECO-CONSTRUCTION

A tiny-house made out of timber and other
eco-construction materials,
for comfort and autonomy

TRAINING

The making of the tiny house is the time for a professional eco-construction training, and a community volunteering project.

THE ORGANISATION

Created in 2007, Quatorze is a non-profit organization, promoting, testing and spreading a social and solidarity approach to a resilient and agile city. As an architecture manufacture, it leads a variety of projects, from design to building, always gathering the three pillars of sustainable development.
Quatorze puts the people in the center of the projects. With a methodology we call "co-conception" and "co-construction", inhabitants become true actors and learn new skills in eco-construction. The organization works mostly with people with poor living conditions.

THE EVENTS

IMBY is definitely a european project. Born from architects minds from France (Quatorze) and Spain (D.A.T. Pangea), IMBY received a honnor of merit mention at the competition «From Border to Home» organized by the Museum of Finnish Architecture and was presented at the Biennale di Venezia in 2016. Today developed in Paris, the project is presented and discussed through all Europe, during a variety of events.
